Bhalla Papdi Chaat

Chaats are such all time favourites when we are hungry after a long day of work. Bhalla papdi chaat is made with super soft urad daal Vada, and crunchy papadi topped with sweet and spicy yoghurt , chutneys, shredded carrots and beet, mint and coriander along with pomegranate pearls and Sev on top! Steps

First, drain the soaked (for 4 hours) urad daal. Grind to a fine and creamy paste with very less water.

Then add salt and ginger chilli paste. Mix well. Heat sufficient oil. Make small rounds of the daal and fry vadas till golden brown.

Dip them in thin buttermilk for 1/2 an hour. Then squeeze out moisture and arrange on a plate.

To assemble the bhalla papadi chaat:
Take a plate. Arrange soaked vadas on it. Then arrange the papadi. Then mix prepared potato with peas, salt, chilli powder and chaat masala.
Then add chopped onion and tomato.
Place spoonfuls of stuffing on the Papdi.

Then pour chutneys, shredded veggies and pomegranate pearls.

Top with chopped coriander and lots of crunchy Sev and serve immediately! Enjoy!
