Presenting spicy Tawa Idli from leftover Idlis, it is a fantastic make over of non spicy Idlis with just few easily available ingredients.

Steps

Cut Idlis into pieces

Assemble other ingredients

Make paste of Tomato

In moderately heated pan add oil, add mustard seeds + Chana Dal and allow to sizzle, then add curry leaves + 1 green chilli and sauté for few seconds.

Then add ginger + hing and sauté for few seconds, then add onion + capsicum + chilli and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add turmeric + little salt and sauté for 1-2 minutes under medium flame. - 6
Sauté further for 2 minutes till onion turns golden yellow by adding sugar and 1 tbsp water.

Now add tomato paste, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes

Add tomato sauce, mix and cook further for 2 minutes by adding required salt. Mixture thickens.
Add Idli pieces and mix gently. - 9
Cook for 2-3 minutes till Idli pieces coats well with veggies and tomato paste. Dish is ready.
