First wash masoor dal twice and drain the water. Keep aside. In a cooker add 1 glass of water then add dal close the lid and wait for 3 whistles. Once it is done. Then Keep aside...

In a kadai heat oil. Add panchphoron, 1 dry red chilli and mango pieces. Saute it for few minutes. Then add cooked dal. In that add haldi powder, crushed ginger, salt, chopped green chilli...

Mixed well and boil the dal for 5 minutes. Till the mango is become tender. Add sugar. It is optional...But I like to add sugar.. Sour and sweet is a nice combination. The dal will be very tasty...

Once it is done..transfer to a beautiful glass bowl..Garnish with fresh coriander leaves...

Then ready to serve..mango dal with steam rice.....and papad.....
