Double ka meetha is a bread pudding from Hydrabadi cuisine in which fried bread slices soaked in hot milk with nuts, including saffron and cardamom. It is the most popular recipe of Hydrabad which is served on the occasion of Eid or wedding parties.

Double ka meetha is a bread pudding from Hydrabadi cuisine in which fried bread slices soaked in hot milk with nuts, including saffron and cardamom. It is the most popular recipe of Hydrabad which is served on the occasion of Eid or wedding parties.
Steps

Cut bread slices diagonally from middle and fry in a pan using ghee till golden brown in colour.

Remove from pan and keep aside.

Boil milk in a pan on low heat till milk starts thicken.

Add sugar and cardamom powder.
- 5
Add milk powder and mix well.
- 6
Soak saffron in rose essence and add in milk, switch off the heat.

Soak fried bread slices in milk for a minute and remove.

Arrange these soaked bread slices in serving plate, pour prepared rabdi over and garnish with chopped almonds, pistachios and saffron.
