Got this recipy out of a very old small cookbook years ago. It is very simple to make. You dont need a mixer . Made with cheap available ingredients
It is one of my favourite cakes moist and lemony and good for a dessert after a dinner party

Ingredients

  1. 350 grflour
  2. 1 tbbaking powder
  3. 250 grsugar
  4. 250 grgreek yoghurt
  5. 250 mlmilk
  6. 2eggs
  7. Syrup
  8. 250 grsugar
  9. 180 clwater
  10. 70 cllemon juice
  11. Peel of 1 bio lemon

Cooking Instructions

    Loosen the eggs put in with the wet ingredients

    Put in the rest of the ingredients. Wisk for 3 min until it is lump free

    Preheat oven 180°C.

    Put cake in a buttered round (23 cm) tin.
    Bake for around 55 min

  5. 5

    Cut the peel of the lemon very fine. Put in a pan with the rest of the ingredients.
    Warm gently until the sirop is thickened. About 8 min

    Get the cake out of the thin
    Prik it genourously with a small knife.
    Put on half the syrup.
    Keep the rest in the fridge.
    This makes great limonade.

    Serve while still warm.
    If you prefer it can be eaten cold.
