This sausage gravy is amazing over homemade buttermilk biscuits (or even canned biscuits!). As a southern girl, this is definitely a wonderful comfort food.
Steps

In a large skillet over medium high heat, cook sausage until brown and crumbly

Add butter and stir until melted
- 3
Turn down the skillet and Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir until flour becomes golden brown
- 4
And in the milk and stir. Allow the gravy to thicken, stirring occasionally.

Serve while hot. The gravy will thicken as it cools.
