Steps
- 1
Chop up the cabbage. Wash well & keep aside.
- 2
Heat oil in a vessel & fry the chillies, mustard & cumin seeds for a few seconds.
- 3
Now add in the onions & fry till they turn soft. Add the ginger-garlic paste & fry for a minute or till the raw smell goes.
- 4
Then add in the tomatoes & fry till they turn soft. Add salt to taste, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder & cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add a little water if the masala sticks to the bottom of the vessel.
- 5
Now add the cabbage & mix well. Add a little water, cover & cook on low to medium heat/flame till done. Keep checking at intervals to avoid burning.
- 6
When done, switch off the flame/heat, add the coconut & mix well.
- 7
Can be served with rotis & any pickle of your choice.
