  • 1and 1/2 cup Long Grain Basmati Rice
  • 2 cupsMilk
  • 1 cupSugar
  • 2 tbspchopped Almonds
  • 8-10Cashews
  • 2 tbspRaisins
  • 1 cupKhoya(Mawa)
  • 2 tbspTuti Fruti
  • 2 tbspGhee
  • 1Green Cardamom
  • 1 tspKewda essence
  • 7-8Saffron strands
  • 1 pinchYellow food colour

Steps

35 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat ghee in a skillet and put cardamom.

    Put washed rice in it.

    Fry rice for 1-2 minutes and then add milk.

    Mix well, cover, and cook till milk totally absorbed and the rice is 80% done.

    Add sugar, dry fruits and kewda essence in it.

    Add yellow food color and saffron in milk and add this to rice.

    Add khoya, mix well and cook covered till sugar melts and rice becomes dry.

    Transfer in serving plate and garnish with khoya, almonds, and tutti fruiti.
