Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  • 1 cuprice
  • 1 cupyellow moong dal
  • 2 tspchana dal
  • 2 tsptuver dal
  • 2chopped onions
  • 2chopped potatoes
  • 2chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tspchopped garlic
  • 1 tspchopped ginger
  • 1 tspchopped green chilles
  • 1/2 tsp+1/2 tsp jeera
  • 1/4+ 1/4 tsp hing
  • 1+1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tspred chilli powder
  • 2 tsp+ 2 tsp oil
  • 2 tspghee
  • leavesFew curry
  • 1small stick cinnamon
  • 4cloves
  • 2red dry chilliesfew curry leaves
  • As per taste Salt
  • As required Water
  • leavessome chopped coriander

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and soak rice and dal for at least 30 minutes. Meanwhile, chopped onions, potatoes, and tomatoes. Keep ready all other ingredients. Now take a pressure cooker. Heat on a medium flame, add 2 tsp oil. Add 1/2 tsp jeera, 1/4 tsp hing, cinnamon, and cloves.

    Now add soak dal and rice, add salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder, water as required to make khiching in semi pouring constituency. Cover the lid.Cook till 6 whistles blow on a medium low flame.

    Take a frying pan, heat it, add 2 tsp oil, dry red chillies, jeera, hing and curry leaves. Saute it. Add chopped green chilles, ginger and garlic, saute till aroma comes out. Now add chopped onions, saute till transculant. Add chopped tomatoes, saute till turns soft. Lastly add red chilli powder.Turn off gas.

    Open cooker lid, check Khichdi is properly cooked. Drop this masala seasonings on it. Mix well. Serve hot in a serving pot, by adding ghee on it and some coriander. Enjoy with your choice.
