Ingredients

1 hr 30 min
3-5 servings
  • 1 tablespoonghee
  • 1 tablespoonolive oil
  • 900 gramsbeef cut in small cubes or sausage
  • 1thinly chopped onion
  • 2-3 clovesgarlic
  • 3 tablespoonstomato paste
  • 180 mldark English ale
  • 110 mlbeef stock
  • 2 teaspoonsfresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoonrosemary
  • 1 teaspoonpaprika and black pepper
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • 1large beaten egg
  • 3/4th of a bag of dried beans
  • 2carrots and maybe other greens and mushrooms if you have
  • 2 tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspooncornstarch
  • Dough
  • 200 gbutter
  • 3 cupsflour
  • 1 teaspooninstant yeast
  • 1tiny teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoonsugar
  • 1/2 cupcold milk approximately
  • 1egg for the egg wash

Steps

    Add olive oil and ghee into a pan

  2. 2

    Add onions wait until they darken a bit then put garlic in (wait a tiny bit)

  3. 3

    Add tomato paste and observe how it turns from burgundy color into a more orange color, while pouring in a tiny bit of beef stock or veggie stock

  4. 4

    Take an espresso mug and pour some water in to mix with a teaspoon of cornstarch, put to the side

  5. 5

    Add beef and ale in

  6. 6

    Add Worcestershire sauce and carrots, stir well

  7. 7

    Cover with a lid and let it simmer for 40 minutes

  8. 8

    Oh also almost forgotten! SPICES

  9. 9

    Now we do the dough 😎

    We take a cheese grater and grate the frozen butter into the flour

  11. 11

    Mix SUPER well

  12. 12

    The add instant yeast, sugar and salt

  13. 13

    Add cold milk and make sure the dough is still soft

  14. 14

    Also when baking the crust pour in dry beans onto the bottom of the pie pan so it wouldn’t rise

  15. 15

    Bake it and then pour in the meat mixture in closing it with a cap made out of dough and secure it well on the sides

    Poke a few holes with a fork and brush it with egg wash add sesame seeds

  17. 17

    Bake for 15 min on 180 degrees or until it looks good
