Ingredients

12 servings
  • 1/2 cupbutter or shortening
  • 1 cupbrown sugar
  • 1/2 cuppeanut butter
  • 1egg
  • 1 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  • 1 tspbaking soda
  • 1/2 cupoatmeal
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 12 ozchocolate chips

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients in bowl with electric mixer.

  2. 2

    Stir in chocolate chips.

  3. 3

    Spread mixture into an 8 x 8 (thicker bars) or 9 x 13 (thinner bars) backing pan.

  4. 4

    Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Cut into bars when cool and ENJOY!

This was a really good recipe. Wasn't sure at first but then I tried it... it was fantastic. Will definitely be making again. Thank you for sharing.
