Steps

First previous day wash your rice and soaked in a water for 3 hours and drain the water completely and take a soft cloth let them dry under fan..

After some time take your mixie grinder and grind it smoothly..maje your rice powder in a smooth form.take a plate let the rice powder keep it cool fir sometime..

Next day you cut your coconut scrap it nicely keep it aside.

One important step is your have to take chana dal soaked in the water drop your water and with help of your mixie grind it nicely and steamed it like idli and split it add in your jaggery materials.this step is very important because this only give the texture to your inside stuff...

Then next step take your jaggery make it in powder form and and start your gas flame set your strong kadai pour quarter cup of water let them boil and pour your jaggery powder and immediately add Elaichi powder let them cook for sometime add your grated coconut materials everything mixed and cooked and nicely you will get tight dough this is the main stuffing inside the modak..keep it in a vessel.

Next step previous day rice powder take a glass measure your water take 3ti 4glass of water let them boil nicely add a pinch of salt and til oil two tsp slowly mix the dry powder let them cook nicely when your dough tight nicely then switch off the gas.after cool down pour some oil over the dough and with the help of your hand mix your dough make like Puri consistency cover it with a in a cotton cloth keep in away for sometime..

Then take roti bhel upper side add your dough make a round shape a the full with your jaggery coconut stuffing and close the lid and steamed in your idli vessel for 15 minute steaming.your modak ready for your puja...
