To make Kesar peda, combine the saffron strands and warm milk in a small bowl and keep aside.

Put the marinade into a nonstick pan and cook on a medium flame for 7-8 minutes while stirring continuously.

Transfer the mixture into thali and spread it evenly and keep aside to cool for 20 minutes.

Add sugar powder, saffron milk, and cardamom powder, and mix gently with hands.

Cover with a cling wrap and refrigerate the mixture for 20 minutes.

Mix well and kneads into a dough.

Make pedas and place a few pistachios/saffron on each peda and press down gently.

Serve or store Kesar peda in an air-tight container and refrigerate.
