Banana chips are quite a famous snack in southern India and they are healthier alternative to the potato chips. Crispy, crunchy and yellow chips are a great evening snacks along with tea or coffee.

Banana chips are quite a famous snack in southern India and they are healthier alternative to the potato chips. Crispy, crunchy and yellow chips are a great evening snacks along with tea or coffee.
Steps

Mix salt and turmeric in a bowl, add ½ cup water, and keep aside.

Peel and thinly slice the bananas and dip the slices in water for 7-10 minutes. Strain the water and spread the banana slices on a kitchen towel and slightly pat them dry.

Heat oil in a wide pan and now add the banana slices to hot oil. Make sure not to overcrowd them to avoid sticking.

Once the banana slices are crispier add a tsp of water salt turmeric and mix the water in the oil. (Be careful as the oil splutters)

Fry for another 2minutes and them remove them from oil to the kitchen towel.

Once cooled store them in an airtight container.
