Ingredients

  • 1 kgBeef Boneless
  • 250 gmwhole wheat(gandum)
  • 250 gmSplit bengal gram(chana daal)
  • 125 gmbarley (jau)
  • 125 gmYellow lentil (moong daal)
  • 125 gmRed lentil (masoor daal)
  • 125 gmwhite lentil (mash daal)
  • 1 cupcooking oil
  • 2 tbspginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbspred chilli powder
  • 1 tbspcoriander powder
  • 1 tbspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspcumin powder
  • 1 tbspgaram masala powder
  • 2 tbspsalt or to taste
  • 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  • 2 tbspgreen chilli paste
  • Water as required
  • 1/2 bunchchopped mint leaves (podina)
  • (For Tarka)
  • 1/2 cupcookin oil
  • 2medium size onion sliced
  • 2 tbspginger julienne
  • (For serving)
  • Fried onion as required
  • Chaat masala as required
  • Ginger julienne cut as required
  • Chopped big green chillies as required
  • Mint and coriander leaves chopped as required

Steps

  1. 1

    In a big pot add oil and then add beef then fry until beef color changes, add g.g paste and cook for 1mint

    Now add all masalas and salt and cook for 3 to 4 mints

    Add all grains and mix well, now add water 3to 4 litres and bring it to boil, now reduce the flame, cover and cook on very low flame about 4 to 5hours or until beef and grains totally cooked and get tender.

    Now mash well with the help of wooden masher, when all are incorporate and no grains and meat appear separately then it's done add chopped mint leaves and set aside

    (For tarka)
    Heat oil in a pan, add onion sliced and fry till light golden now add ginger julienne and fry till golden color add in haleem.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with all serving ingredients and naan and enjoy 😊
