Steps

Remove all the dirt and stones from the wheat, wash, dry and grind wheat into coarse particles not smooth

Add oil and stir then add yeast, baking powder and salt mix then gradually add water to foam a thick dough, cover and leave for some hours or overnight

Put your dough in a motar add little water and beat well with pestle until very soft and gluey. Rub oil in your palm and working surface take portion of the dough and roll it to your desire shape, repeat the process till all are finish

Place in a warm place and leave it to rise for 30mins then fry in a hot oil.

In a pot add in water, lemon or tamarind, cardamom pods, cloves and take it to boil, allow it to boil until it become brownish in colour, Allow it to cool then place the Alkaki into the syrup
