To begin, cut the paneer into bite-sized pieces. Marinate it with ginger garlic paste, salt, light soy sauce, and red chilli powder. Mix well and keep aside.
- 2
Mix together the all-purpose flour and cornflour for dredging in a plate. Add in the marinated paneer and mix until the pieces are well coated. Dust off the excess flour.
- 3
Heat oil for deep frying. Fry the paneer pieces until golden. Remove and keep aside.
- 4
For the sauce, in a bowl mix together light soy sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, tomato puree, tomato sauce, red chili powder, sugar, and 1/2 cup water.
- 5
Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add finely chopped garlic and saute for a minute.

- 7
Add in the sauce mix and boil it for 2-3 minutes. Make a slurry of 1 tsp cornflour with 2 tbsp of water. Add it to the sauce and cook until it thickens a bit.
