Rohu Fish In Mustard Gravy

Clean and wash fish pieces. Add 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, and 1/2 tsp salt.Mix.Leave for 15 minutes.

Take mustard seeds, dry red chilies, coriander powder, peppercorn, and garlic cloves in a grinding jar. Add a Lil water and grind to a smooth paste. Keep aside.

Heat mustard oil in a pan, and fry fish till golden. Take out and keep aside.

Add fenugreek seeds to the remaining oil. Reduce the flame to the lowest. Let crackle. Add Kashmiri chili powder and turmeric powder. Stir and quickly add onion paste to avoid burning spices. Add 1/4 cup water and cook for 2 minutes.

Add mustard seeds paste to the pan, and saute few minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and salt to taste. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover, and cook for 4-5minutes on medium flame.

Add potato slices and cook till done.

Now add 250 ml water to the gravy, and boil. Add fried fish. Boil for 1 minute on high flame. Add half of the coriander leaves. Reduce the flame to low. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes put off the flame. Leave 10 minutes Serve with hot boiled rice.
