Lehsooni Palak Kichdi

Palak aka Spinach is a winter green that's Fiber rich. The greens are so versatile that they are used in a variety of dishes. A kichdi is a combination of Rice, Dal, and Veggies. In this recipe of Lehsooni Pakak Kichdi, Spinach puree has been used in place of veggies. A bowl of this Kichdi is comfort food for the cold climes.
Lehsooni Palak Kichdi

In this recipe of Lehsooni Pakak Kichdi, Spinach puree has been used in place of veggies. A bowl of this Kichdi is comfort food for the cold climes.

Pre prep- pressure cook the rice and dal with Turmeric powder, and a little salt, cook until soft and keep aside.

Take oil in a Kadai, add Cumin seeds, finely chopped onion and green chillies and saute. Now add finely chopped Tomatoes and cook until the raw small dissipates.

Now add salt and coarsely pureed Spinach and cook for few minutes. Now add Red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli and Coriander powder. Cook for 2 Minutes.

Now add the cooked Dal and rice, along with 2 cups of water. Stir everything well, breaking lumps of any. Allow to cook for 2 minutes.

Now heat ghee in a tadka pan, and add Cinnamon stick, cloves, whole dry Red chillies. Fry 30 seconds. Then add finely chopped Garlic and fry until brown. Add this to the Kichdi and serve hot
