Assemble ingredients

First roast Chushi grains in ghee.
Roast under medium flame till golden brown, it takes around 4-5 minutes and keep aside.

In pan add milk, wait for a rolling boil. Simmer milk for 5-6 minutes under medium flame. Add bay leaf.

Now add fried Chushi grains and keep stirring to avoid lumps. Add Cardamom and Cook under medium flame for 12 - 14 minutes and milk starts thickening.

Now add sugar and mix well, gradually sugar melts and cook for 3 - 4 minutes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes and its ready, no need to thicken more as after cooling it will thicken more.

After 1 hour serve in individual bowls / cups and it is ready to serve.
