Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 cupsMustard greens (washed, rinsed and chopped)
    Aloo Palak
  2. As Required Spinach leaves (washed, chopped) 1 cup
  3. 1/4 cupMaize flour
    Ragi Roti and Vaal Beans Subji
  4. 2 tablespoonsGhee
  5. 3Chopped green chillies
  6. 1 tablespoonGinger garlic paste
  7. 1 tspCumin seeds
  8. 1Chopped onion
  9. 1Chopped tomato
  10. 1 tspCoriander powder
  11. 1 tspGaram masala
  12. As per taste Salt
  13. 1 tspLemon juice

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    First, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add the leaves, 1/2 cup water, and a pinch of salt, and stir well.
    Cover and cook for 10 minutes till leaves are softened.

    Then add the maize flour, spices powders,
    Salt and cook for 5 minutes. Churn this with a buttermilk churner or masher till you have a mashed paste.

    Then heat the rest of the ghee, and add cumin seeds. When they pop, add the ginger garlic paste, and saute it. Then add onion, and saute till soft.

    Add tomatoes, chilies, and turmeric powder and cook till soft and aromatic. Then add this to the mashed paste. Mix well and adjust the seasonings. Mix the lemon juice and turn off the heat.

    Add more ghee on top. Serve to pipe hot with Makke ki roti and lassi. Enjoy!
