Steps
- 1
Mix maize flour, salt and ajwain in a bowl. Now start adding hot water and keep mixing using a spoon. Leave the mixture for couple of minutes so that it cools down a little bit.
- 2
Now knead the dough with the hands and divide it into 8 equal portions. Now dust one portion with some dry flour and make roti on a butter paper, plastic or a cotton cloth.
- 3
Heat tawa on medium heat. Now lift the roti with the butter paper and put it in the tawa facing butter paper towards you. Now roast it until light pink on one side then flip it over. Roast on the other side until light brown then again flip it and roast it until done.
- 4
Prepare all the roti in the same way then apply ghee on top.
- 5
Serve hot makke di roti with sarson da saag or any other dal or curry of your choice.
