A delicious traditional French dessert: crêpes with butter, orange, and Grand Marnier!
Steps
- 1
Cook the crêpes and keep them warm under a sheet of aluminum foil.
- 2
Meanwhile, remove the zest from the oranges and blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain.
- 3
Juice the oranges. In a saucepan, combine the juice, zest, 2 tablespoons water, sugar, butter, and liqueur. Heat over low heat, stirring until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.
- 4
When ready to serve, dip each crêpe in the saucepan. Fold them into quarters and serve drizzled with the remaining Suzette sauce.
- 5
Heat a little liqueur, pour it over the crêpes, and flambé (optional).
- 6
Here’s a lemon version for a twist!
