Salmon Sushi Cake for Halloween Salmon Sushi Cake for Halloween
This was a gift for my niece. I was trying to think of something to make for Halloween that doesn't use kabocha and came up with this sushi "cake" made to look like a Jack-O'-Lantern.I really meant to make two layers of salmon, but I didn't have enough so I decided to use thin omelettes instead. You could also use thinly sliced avocado or cucumber. When you line the pan with salmon, if you place it lengthwise, it will look more like a Jack-O'-Lantern. Recipe by Obabakamimizu cookpad.japan -

I brought these to a Halloween party and they were super popular! They're so easy! They're my family's favorite. If you wrap each of them individually in plastic wrap, they're great for a party without needing any cutlery. The key is to use the ragged edges of the leaves for the pumpkin leaves. If you don't add the face parts, you can use these for parties other than just Halloween parties! I often make simple nigiri sushi. This time I had some leftover salmon, so I made some with it.Use a small portion of sushi rice, so that they're easier to eat.You can use other types of fish for the topping instead, but I think that salmon looks the nicest.Don't forget to make a little hollow and fill it with a dab of wasabi, this will make the sushi look even more attractive. Festive Salmon Temari Sushi Festive Salmon Temari Sushi
The thinly sliced salmon I got looked a bit too thin to serve as sashimi, so I used it to make temari sushi, or small ball-shaped sushi.50 g of sushi rice is a bit bigger than bite size. Adjust the amount of sushi rice per piece as desired.Sliced salmon combined with avocado should be delicious too. You can also try using sashimi-grade maguro (lean tuna), scallops, sea bream and so on to make a colorful assortment. Recipe by Mekamahao cookpad.japan -

I make this for celebrations and parties. I always worry about what to combine with what, so I thought I'd post this for reference.■ Sticking the sushi toppings to warm rice will reduce their level of freshness. ■ You could also use toppings like ama-ebi (sweet shrimp) or steamed shrimp (with mayonnaise), kohada gizzard shad (with julienned ginger), parboiled and rolled greens, roast beef, cured ham, eel, pickled sakura blossoms or leaves and so on. For 4 servings. Recipe by Keyua cookpad.japan -

I wanted to make sushi with Western ingredients, and then I came up with this interesting idea to make Western-flavored sushi rice!I've also made some Western-style sauce in addition to the standard wasabi soy sauce. It's so cute and palatable since it's slightly smaller than bite-size.You could also make variations with grilled chicken and coarse salt, or even with seafood such as squid and octopus. The sushi rice is only mildly acidic. Please add more vinegar if you'd like a stronger taste. Recipe by Mayugari-ta cookpad.japan -

This is a great recipe for a Christmas party. I invented this recipe to please children because I had had a lot of requests from users. It is exciting to make a wreath of sushi. Cut out cute animal shapes using ham or vegetables. If cutting star shapes in salmon with a cutter doesn't work well, use it to make an outline of the shape onto the salmon and cut out with kitchen scissors.Use the same amount of rice to make the balls for a uniform look.
