In a pan heat oil and fry okra or bhindi till crisp

Now in another pan add oil, mustard seeds, asofedita, curry leaves, chana dal. When it splatters add chopped onion and tomato

Now add turmeric,red chilli powder, coriander powder, and cup of water. Cook on medium flame till it becomes gravy like

Now in a cup of water mix gram flour to prepare a mixture and add to the gravy, cook again for 5mts until the gravy is thickened

Now add lemon juice or tamarind water, okra and cook for 2mts, then add jaggery, freshly grated coconut and mix well

Cook for 2-3mts. Serve hot with steamed rice
