I happened to come across these mini doughnut pans for baking, so I grabbed them—where we live, there’s a doughnut shop on every corner and the kids are always asking for a treat. That’s why I decided to make healthy doughnuts at home with simple ingredients we always have on hand. The truth is, you can make endless variations depending on your taste and the season! These are perfect for breakfast or as a snack—healthy and homemade for the whole family to enjoy.

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

If you forgot to take the butter out of the fridge, place it in a microwave-safe glass bowl and microwave for 15 seconds to soften. Add the milk and microwave both together for another 30 seconds.

  2. 2

Add the sugar and mix well with a whisk or hand mixer. Add the egg and all the remaining ingredients, adding the flour last. Mix until you have a smooth batter.

  3. 3

Grease the doughnut pans with corn oil or butter. Fill each mold about two-thirds full using a small spoon or piping bag (don’t overfill or you’ll lose the hole during baking).
