Ingredients

20-25 minutes
5-6 people
  • 500 gmkathal pieces
  • 2medium onion's paste
  • 2medium tomatoes puree
  • 2green chillies slit
  • 1 tspginger paste
  • 1 tspgarlic paste
  • 1/4 tspasafoetida
  • 1 tspkashmiri red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 2 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspred Chilli powder
  • 1 tspchicken masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cupoil
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1black cardamom, 2cloves, 1bay leaf 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 4-5pepper corns, 2 dry red chilli
  • 2 tbspcurd
  • leavesCoriander

Steps

20-25 minutes
  1. 1

    In a vessel add 2cups of water add 1tsp oil and 1tsp salt add kathal pieces into this water and boiled it for 5-6 minutes. Then strain the water.keep aside
    In a kadhai add oil when oil heated add whole spices,asafoetida and dry red Chilli.. saute few seconds then add onion paste. Saute 3-4 minutes.

    When onion paste turns golden add kashmiri red Chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix and cook for a minute. Add ginger garlic paste and slit green chillies. Mix and cook for a minute.

    Add tomato paste then add salt and all powder spices mention above. Mix add little water.cover and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame

    Meanwhile the masala has cooked take curd in a bowl add chicken masala and mix both together well. Keep aside.
    Now the masala has cooked and oil comes on top add the boil karhal pieces

    Mix gently add the curd paste and m8x well.cook on high flame for 2 minutes then add 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook on low to medium flame for 5-7 minutes.

    Remove the lid and cook it on high flame for 3-4 minutes keep stirring. Add coriander leaves m8x turn off the flame. Served this sabzi with chapati or naan
