Ingredients

  • 1 cupWheat Flour
  • 1/2 cupRice Flour
  • 1/2 cupGram flour
  • 1/2 cupBajra Flour
  • 1/2 cupSorghum Flour
  • 2chopped Onion
  • 1/2 cupchopped Coriander
  • 1chopped Green Chilli
  • 1 inchgrated Ginger
  • 3 tbspSesame seeds
  • 1 tbspCumin seeds
  • 1 tbspCarom seeds
  • 1/4 tbspAsafoetida
  • 2 tbspRed chilli powder
  • 2 tbspCoriander powder
  • 1 tbsproasted Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tbspTurmeric
  • 1/2 cupCurd
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • 2 tbspOil
  • Oil as needed for smearing
  • Salt as per taste

Steps

    In a large bowl add chopped Onion, chilli, fresh coriander, grated ginger, all dry spices and mix it well.

    Then Add all flours and yogurt. Mix it well and knead well to make a firm dough, adding water if necessary.

    Knead for a couple of minutes until smooth. Cover the dough and allow it to rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Divide the dough into even balls. Using the palm of your hands flatten each ball. Heat a tawa on medium flame.

    Take a cotton damp cloth. Now take a ball and Put on cloth, with a wet hand, slowly tap dough in circle evenly to make round thalipeeth. sprinkle seasame seeds to enhance the taste. Make holes in thalipeeth, with a finger top.

    Now with the help of a cloth, thalipeeth flip on tawa to cloth. and put oil in it to roast properly. Roast both sides by applying oil, Roast well.

    Make all thalipeeth in the same way. Serve the Thalipeeth along with a curd or butter.
