Besan drumstick ---- a simple yet tasty summer vegetable

Wash the drumsticks. Cut each drumstick lengthwise halfway as shown in the picture. Pressure cook drumsticks with little salt and water to 1 whistle.When air is released from the pressure cooker, open it & take out the drumsticks. Do not discard the water.

Mix besan & curds to make a thick paste.Add all the spices & jaggery in it & mix. Keep aside.

Tempering : Take a pan, add oil.When oil becomes hot add cumin seeds & sesame seeds. When they splutter add besan & curds mixture. Stir quickly on slow flame. Add water from boiled drumsticks & set the consistency. Add more water if required.

Cook the mixture till oil is released from the sides.Now add drumsticks & cook for 5 minutes till all the spices blend well.

Garnish the vegetable with coriander & serve it with roti, bhakri, paratha or plain rice.
