This recipe was born when I tried to boost the heartiness of fried pork patties.
This is a dish that I enjoyed from childhood, and still make now.
It's hearty without too many calories; 2 birds, 1 stone.

You can eat this simply with Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, or whatever you like, and it's very delicious.
I combined ketchup and Worcestershire sauce in the above photo. This becomes easy to eat if you score the onion with a knife. You can use this as a bento side dish if you make them slightly smaller. For 2 people. Recipe by Yuripomu

Ingredients

2 servings
  • 8 sliceThinly sliced pork (belly or loin)
  • 2 sliceSliced New Onion (slice as thick as you want)
  • 2 sliceProcessed cheese or your favorite cheese
  • 1 pinchSalt and pepper
  • 1 tbspFinely chopped parsley (fresh)
  • 1 tspGrated garlic
  • 1Flour, eggs, panko

Steps

  1. 1

    Grate the garlic on top of the onion slices, and top with salt, pepper, and parsley.

    Add your favorite cheese on top (I used sliced cheese in the photo).

    Roll it up tightly in the meat. (The size of the rolls will change depending how much ingredients you use).

    Cook in 355F/180C oil.

    Enjoy with ketchup, Japanese Worcestershire sauce, or your favorite sauce.
