Walnut Sheera

An unique Indian Sweet made on special occasions. Today , being Janmashtami, the day Lord Krishna was born , I wanted to celebrate the Lord's Birthday by offering Him a Special Sweet . Hence I made Walnut Sheera.
This sweet is not known by many . It has a wonderful taste & once you make it , you will make it often . So do try ....& enjoy the benefits you get from walnuts.

Warm clarified butter in a non-stick pan, add coarsely crushed walnuts & cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add milk & sugar & cook till milk evaporates, stirring constantly.

When all the milk is burnt off & clarified butter oozes out, switch off the gas. Take it out in a bowl, garnish with cardamom powder & serve warm.
