Cook gnocchi as per packaging instructions. Drain, then set aside.

In a skillet, heat tomato sauce and garlic over medium heat. When the sauce reaches a simmer, bring the heat to a low.

Add chilli flakes and cream, then stir continuously until the cream combines with the sauce and is heated through.

Season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper, then transfer cooked gnocchi into the sauce and stir to coat.

Add cheese and mix well, then remove from heat.

Garnish with basil and more cheese, if desired, before serving.
