Peel and cut the yam into cubes. Wash and place it in a pot, sprinkle some sugar. Pour water to cover the contents. Boil till the yam is soft. Turn off the heat and drain the water. Your yam is ready.

For the stew, blend your tomatoes,chilli peppers, garlic, scotch bonnets and some onion roughly.

Put the palm oil in a pot and add chopped onion. Fry till the onion is translucent. Add blended pepper, salt and seasoning cubes allow to cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring often so that it doesn't burn.

As oil floats to the top, your stew is ready. Serve with your boiled yam and enjoy.
