Fragrant honey gingerbread can be easily turned into cookies if you roll out the dough thinner. It's easy to prepare and will be a lot of fun. Fun to do with kids.

Steps

Melt butter and sugar in a saucepan. Mix well without letting it burn. Add honey. Bring to a homogeneous mass over low heat. Do not boil.

Sift some of the flour into a blender bowl, add the yolks, a mixture of spices and baking powder. Mix. Pour in the honey mixture and start kneading the dough.

Add flour gradually. Knead into an elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. Wrap in cling film and leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Divide into several pieces convenient for rolling out.

Roll each piece into a layer of about 5 mm. Use cookie cutters to cut out shaped gingerbread cookies. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake gingerbread cookies in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Decorate with icing sugar, or simply dip already cut out figures in sugar before baking.
