Broiled Scallops with Buttered Potatoes

PREPARING THE POTATOES
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the sliced potatoes and cook until just tender but still firm. Drain.
Arrange the cooked potatoes in 2 individual oven-safe dishes. - 2
In a small skillet, heat the olive oil with the butter and sauté the garlic until golden.
Add and mix in the chopped parsley. Pour this mixture over the potatoes. - 3
PREPARING THE SCALLOPS
Remove the scallops from their shells.
Season the scallops with salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter, then divide them over the dishes with the potatoes. - 4
In a bowl, mix together the Panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, paprika, and shredded Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the scallops.

BAKING
Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
Bake the scallops for about 15 minutes or until cooked through. - 6
Set the oven to broil and broil the top until golden brown.
Serve immediately.
