Steps
- 1
Mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast together.
- 2
Add warm water a little at a time. Sometimes it take less or more water. Knead dough by hand or cuisinart.
- 3
Spray pam or crisco around edges of bowl and top of bread lightly. Cover and let rise for about 2 to 3 hours. Keep warm.
- 4
Lay plastic table cloth with a dusting of flour. Cut dough into balls and let rise on table cloth. You will get about 10 to 12 balls. Cover and keep warm. Let rise about 45 minutes.
- 5
Roll balls out with rolling pin and let rise about 1 to 2 hours. Keep cover and warm.
- 6
Then bake. Put broiler on high and and one dough at a time put on cookie sheet or stone and poke holes with fork. Brown top side. Lift bread off sheet and fork holes again. Put on bottom rack in oven until brown side sounds hollow when tap. Put back in broiler to brown other side. Thats it. As you are waiting for it to bake after browning put another on sheet and repeat process. Sometimes I have 4 to 5 loaves baking while browning another one.
