This is the ginger pork I used to put in my darling daughter's lunchbox!
She said the sauce soaked into the rice made it scrumptious.
I'm so glad she enjoyed it!

The onion and meat are thinly sliced, so they cook in a jiffy! For 1-2 servings. Recipe by Ha-tannookkasan.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1/2Onion
  2. 100 gramsPork (thinly cut for shabu-shabu)
  3. 1 tbspSake
  4. 1 tbsp●Soy sauce
  5. 1 tbsp●Mirin
  6. 10 grams●Ginger
  7. 1 tbspKatakuriko
  8. 1/2 tspBlack pepper
  9. 1 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    Pour sake on the meat and evenly rub in.

    Combine ● ingredients (if using frozen ginger, slice it while it's still frozen).

  3. 3

    Thinly slice the onion lengthwise.

  4. 4

    Cover a cutting board in cling wrap, then coat the meat in katakuriko and black pepper.

  5. 5

    Sauté the onion in 1/2 tablespoon of oil, then remove from pan.

  6. 6

    Add 1/2 tablespoon of oil and cook the meat, stirring often.

  7. 7

    Return the onion to the pan and add in the ingredients from Step 2...

  8. 8

    Mix together and it's done!

    Serve with rice and enjoy!
