Today I have made tasty delicious bhapa pitha. It's basically bengali traditional dish. In winter season all Bengali prepared this pitha during poush Sankranti. It's very easy to make.

Today I have made tasty delicious bhapa pitha. It's basically bengali traditional dish. In winter season all Bengali prepared this pitha during poush Sankranti. It's very easy to make.
Steps

Heat up a kadai add desiccated coconut, milk powder, patali gur and milk, mix it properly and cook on low flame, stir continuously, till allmost dry sticky dough. Coconut stuffing is ready.

Heat up a kadai add 1 bowl water, pinch of salt, ghee and rice flour, mix it properly and cook on low flame, cover it and turn off the flame. Keep aside for slightly cool down then knead it soft dough.

Take small portion of rice dough and small portion of coconut stuffing make small ball shape. Now take rice ball, press it and give shape of a bowl. Place the coconut ball stuffing in the middle of the rice bowl and seal it very nicely and make a ball shape as shown in fig. Now spread soaked basmati rice on a plate and coat the prepared rice ball nicely with this rice and garnish with saffron water.

Now place the rice balls in the greased steamer vessel and steam them for 10-12 minutes.
