A Swedish-style (perhaps?) oven-baked dish with sliced potatoes and smoked salmon. It's quite simple! The origin of this recipe: I found a recipe online and made it even simpler. It's easy, so it seems suitable for busy times or as a dish for entertaining guests.

A Swedish-style (perhaps?) oven-baked dish with sliced potatoes and smoked salmon. It's quite simple! The origin of this recipe: I found a recipe online and made it even simpler. It's easy, so it seems suitable for busy times or as a dish for entertaining guests.

Thinly slice the potatoes (no need to soak in water). Mix well with melted butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Place half of the potato slices in a heatproof dish, layer the smoked salmon on top, and then layer the remaining potato slices.

Pour the heavy cream over the top and adjust with milk until lightly covered. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake in a 400-430°F oven, checking occasionally, for 20-30 minutes.

Sprinkle with parsley, if desired, and serve.
