  • 3.5 oz (100 g)smooth red bean paste (koshian)
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml)water
  • 2 piecesmochi (rice cakes)
  • 1 pinchsalt

    Heat the water and smooth red bean paste in a saucepan.

    Toast the mochi until golden.

  3. 3

    Add a pinch of salt and the toasted mochi to the warmed red bean soup, then serve.
