Cream Cheese and Grated Cheese Cookies

These cookies, made with cream cheese and grated cheese, are wonderfully aromatic and crispy. They make a delightful gift.
The origin of this recipe: Using only cream cheese lacks aroma, and using only grated cheese makes it overwhelmingly cheesy. By combining them and adding Grand Marnier, I achieved a subtle citrusy sweet aroma.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preparation: Break up any clumps in the grated cheese with your hands until it's fine, then mix evenly with the all-purpose flour using a whisk.
- 2
Soften the butter and cream cheese to room temperature and mix with a spatula until smooth.
- 3
Add the sugar to the mixture in step 2 and mix evenly with a spatula. No need to make it fluffy!
- 4
Add the Grand Marnier to the mixture in step 3 and mix quickly with a spatula.
- 5
Add the flour mixture from step 4 and mix gently. It's okay if it looks crumbly. Don't overmix.
- 6
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, form into a ball, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- 7
Divide the chilled dough into two parts and shape each into a log about 3 cm square. Round shapes are also fine. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- 8
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) before cutting the dough.
- 9
Cut the dough into slices about 1/4 inch thick and bake in a preheated oven at 340°F (170°C) for about 20 minutes. Be careful not to overbake, as ovens vary.
- 10
This is the grated cheese I used. It's very fine and perfect for baking, resulting in a crisp finish.

But they are simply soft and amazing just as is. I didnt do anything to thoa batch. Now my 11 year old daughter makes these all on her own. Nessa
