Easy Okonomiyaki: Even Hiroshima Natives Love Kansai Style

I'm thrilled that so many people have tried this recipe! You don't need okonomiyaki flour, yam, or nagaimo. This alone makes it fluffy and truly delicious.
The origin of this recipe: I made it for a home party. It's simple with ingredients that are easy to find even overseas.
I love Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki the most, but I also enjoy Kansai-style. If you use noodles from ID:19000860, it's a Kansai-Hiroshima collaboration. Made by a Hiroshima native who loves okonomiyaki!

Steps
- 1
Preparation:
- Roughly chop the cabbage.
- Slice the green onions.
- Cut the ham into 1-2 cm squares.
- Beat the egg. - 2
Mix the ingredients marked with ◎ in a bowl, then add the ingredients marked with ◆.
Add water in 2-3 parts, mixing each time. - 3
Once there are no lumps, add the cabbage, green onions, and ham, and mix well.
- 4
Heat oil in a frying pan and spread the batter, keeping it from getting too large. (You can also add ham or pork on top for extra flavor.)
- 5
Cook over medium heat. Once one side is cooked, flip it over quickly, cover, and steam for 3-4 minutes until done. Enjoy!
- 6
Additional note:
To make a large batch, I baked it in the oven at 200°C (about 400°F) for 40 minutes, but the frying pan gives a better finish. - 7
I use one egg to keep it low-calorie, but it's also delicious with two eggs. Use less water if using two eggs.
