This is a fluffy okonomiyaki made with 100% oatmeal. It's also great for anyone watching their diet. Recipe background: I created this because I thought the texture of oatmeal was similar to the fluffy okonomiyaki made with grated yam.

Mix the oatmeal, water, a pinch of salt, and Japanese-style soup stock granules in a bowl. Microwave for about 2 minutes.

Add shredded cabbage and dried sakura shrimp to the warmed oatmeal and cook on a skillet or griddle.

Top with bonito flakes, aonori (dried seaweed flakes), and serve with okonomiyaki sauce or mayonnaise as desired.
