Serves 1 serving
  • 1/3 cupoatmeal (about 30g)
  • 6 tablespoonswater (about 90ml)
  • 1/6 headcabbage
  • as neededDried sakura shrimp,
  • as neededJapanese-style soup stock granules,
  • as neededBonito flakes,

Steps

    Mix the oatmeal, water, a pinch of salt, and Japanese-style soup stock granules in a bowl. Microwave for about 2 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add shredded cabbage and dried sakura shrimp to the warmed oatmeal and cook on a skillet or griddle.

  3. 3

    Top with bonito flakes, aonori (dried seaweed flakes), and serve with okonomiyaki sauce or mayonnaise as desired.
