Sauté the onion and mushrooms in butter.

Continue to cook until the onion is translucent and soft, then add all the seasonings. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 4–5 minutes until thickened.

If the vegetables release a lot of water, simmer longer to adjust the consistency. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

Since the sauce is rich, you can keep the chicken rice or butter rice lightly seasoned.
