Serves 1 serving

Coffee Jelly
About 1 teaspoon (3g) gelatin
1 1/2 teaspoonsinstant coffee
Sugar, to taste
6 tablespoonshot water (90ml)
6–7 ice cubes
Toppings
as neededHeavy cream or milk,
as neededIce cream,
as neededWhipped cream,
A fewmint leaves, if available

Steps

Add the gelatin to a bowl and dissolve it in the hot water. Stir in the instant coffee and sugar until dissolved.

Once the gelatin and coffee are dissolved, add the ice cubes and stir with a spoon until well mixed.

When the mixture thickens slightly, pour it into a glass. Let it sit for 3–4 minutes. (Chilling the glass in the fridge will make it extra cold.)

Gently break up the jelly with a spoon, then add a little heavy cream or milk.

Top with ice cream and whipped cream to finish.

Enjoy the jelly together with the ice cream and cream! In the photo, I also added chocolate sauce and mint as toppings.
