When you don't want to fuss with seasoning yaki udon, using just a bottle of store-bought BBQ sauce makes things so much easier.

Cut the cabbage, carrot, garlic chives (if using), and onion into bite-sized pieces.

Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces, if desired.

Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan, add the pork, and cook until browned. Add all the vegetables except the garlic chives and stir-fry.

Once the vegetables are cooked through, add the garlic chives.

Add the cooked udon noodles and about 3 tablespoons (50 ml) of water. When the water has mostly evaporated, pour in the BBQ sauce and mix well. (Adjust the amount of water as needed.)

When the liquid has evaporated, transfer to plates, top with a fried egg, and serve!
