Prepare the ingredients.

Weigh and wash the natural agar, then set aside. (If you don't have agar, you can use agar powder as a substitute.)

I used a 2-quart pot. Bring 7 1/2 cups (about 1800 ml) of water to a boil.

Add the wax gourd tea block.

Stir well until dissolved.

Once the water is boiling, place the washed agar in a strainer and set it over the pot. Cook for about 10-15 minutes. (You can also boil the agar directly in the water and then strain it.)

Cook until the agar no longer looks puffy, as shown in the photo.

Remove the agar in the strainer from the pot.

Add the desired amount of chia seeds.

Stir well.

Let it cool.

Once cooled, refrigerate.

Refrigerate until fully set. For an even better taste, add a little milk if you like!
