Moong Dal Khachori

One my favourite snacks is khachori ,so wanted to make it at home .Once I tried but it does not came out well .But next time it was hit ,so sharing this with you all .This is made with all purpose flour as cover and the spiced lenthils as stuffing. It is crispy deep fried hot pastries with varied stuffing . Some people use green peas for stuffing and here I have made this with lenthil stuffing.

Take the maida in bowl.Put melted ghee into it amd mix well. Then add little water to make into soft dough.Do not add too much water.Cover it with muslin cloth andd keep aside for 10 mins.

Soak moong dal for 1 hour.Cook it till dal become soft,then drain the remaining water.

Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, jeera,hing and allow it to splutter and then add red chilli powder,tumeric and mix well.Add cooked moong dal and salt to taste,mix well and cook for 5 mins.Once dal is cooked add garam masala and amchoor powder and chopped coriander leaves and mix it to make dry dal mixture.Allow it to cool.

Take lemon size dough and make small puri out of it.Put the dal mixture in the centre and cover it on all side.Then press with rolling pin little bit to flatten it like puri.

Heat oil in deep frying pan.Put the khachori in oil and fry them in low flame. Once they are in golden colour remove it.

Serve hot with fried green chillies and tomato sauce.
