Ingredients

  1. 1000 mlminced beef
  2. 2 tinschopped tomatoes
  3. 2small onions
  4. 2 clovesgarlic
  5. 1/4 cuppitted green olives
  6. 1red bell pepper
  7. Small bunch fresh basil
  8. 4 tbspbutter
  9. 1 tbspdried oregano
  10. 1 tbspdried thyme
  11. 1 tbspdried marjoram
  12. 3bay leaves
  13. 4fresh red chilli pepper
  14. 1-2 tbspOlive oil
  15. 1/4 cupred wine

Steps

  1. 1

    In med sized sauce pan melt butter.

  2. 2

    In blender, put onion, olives, garlic, bell pepper, basil, chilli pepper and olive oil. Blend until it's a chunky liquid.

    Add the mixture to the pan and bring to a boil, stirring often.

  4. 4

    Add the tomatoes.

  5. 5

    Once sauce reaches a boil, reduce to a simmer and add oregano, marjoram, thyme, bay leaves and wine. Stir well.

    In frying pan, cook mince and add to sauce and continue to simmer for 30 minutes.

    Serve over cooked pasta.
